In-service Training – Teaching Quality – Basic EducationAbstract
This study aims to investigate the reality of in-service training provided to first-cycle basic education teachers in Al-Marj city. The research focused on five main dimensions: training objectives, training content, training methods, training environment, and trainer competence. A descriptive analytical approach was adopted, and a questionnaire was used to collect data from a sample of 95 teachers. Data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods, including the One-Sample T-Test, to compare the hypothetical means with the actual means obtained from the sample responses. The results revealed that all five dimensions achieved higher actual means than the hypothetical means, with statistically significant differences at the level of (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that in-service training is highly effective in achieving its objectives and reflect teachers’ satisfaction with the content, methods, environment, and competence of the trainers.
