Abstract

E-learning is considered one of the most significant contemporary transformations in educational systems, as it relies on digital technologies and modern communication tools to deliver educational content and facilitate distance learning. The importance of e-learning lies in its ability to expand access to education, provide temporal and spatial flexibility, and support self-directed and lifelong learning. However, this mode of education faces several obstacles that limit its effectiveness, including weak technological infrastructure, limited digital competencies among teachers and learners, lack of direct human interaction, and challenges related to assessment and quality assurance. This study aims to define e-learning, highlight its importance and objectives, analyze its main obstacles, and propose strategies to address them. The study concludes that overcoming these challenges requires developing technological infrastructure, training human resources, and adopting supportive educational policies to ensure effective and sustainable e-learning
