Abstract

This research addresses the incident of fire outbreaks in the city of Al-Asabaa, Libya, from a Sharia (Islamic legal) perspective. In the year 1446 AH (2025 AD), the people of the city faced a severe crisis that caused panic and fear due to the rapid spread of fires in homes. As a result, firefighting teams, emergency services, medical crews, security forces, and the Hassin device all intervened, with everyone striving to understand the causes and find solutions.

Seminars and studies were conducted to provide a scientific explanation for this incident. Previous research primarily focused on analyzing the event from a purely scientific angle.

This study, however, aims to address the emerging Sharia-related issues resulting from the fires. It discusses matters such as the abandonment of Friday and congregational prayers by rescue teams, security personnel, and affected homeowners; the use of mosque loudspeakers to broadcast takbeer (Allahu Akbar) all day as a way to combat the fire; and issues related to fasting, such as inhalation of smoke by those helping extinguish the fire, and their need to break the fast during Ramadan due to the intensity of their efforts.
