Author Self-Archiving Policy

First: Types of Copies Permitted for Self-Archiving

The journal allows authors to share the following copies in digital repositories (such as ResearchGate, Academia.edu, personal websites, institutional repositories, or other scientific platforms):

1. Pre-print Version:

  • This is the initial version of the article before peer review and any revisions by reviewers or editors.

  • It may be shared immediately upon submission, with a clear indication that it is:
"Under review at Al-Tafanni Journal for Humanities and Social Sciences."

2. Accepted Manuscript (Post-print):

  • This is the version that has successfully passed peer review and includes all required revisions from reviewers and the editorial team, but before final formatting for publication.

  • It may be shared immediately upon acceptance, with no embargo period (0 days).

  • It must include a reference to its acceptance for publication in the journal.

3. Published Version (Version of Record):

  • This is the final formatted version that appears in the published issue of the journal (with the journal's design and official pagination).

  • It may be shared immediately upon publication, with a preference for sharing the official DOI link instead of uploading a PDF file. This ensures accurate citation tracking and preserves view and download statistics.

  • If a PDF file is uploaded, it must match the published version and include all official publication details.

Second: Self-Archiving Conditions

  1. Proper Attribution:

    • The full citation of the article (reference citation) must be included, mentioning the journal in full: "Al-Tafanni Journal for Humanities and Social Sciences," along with the volume number, issue number, year, page numbers, and the article's DOI link.

  2. Non-Commercial Use:

    • Archiving is permitted only for scientific, research, and educational purposes.

    • Archived materials may not be used for any commercial or profit-making purposes.

  3. Compliance with the Publishing License:

    • All materials published in the journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

    • The terms of this license must be respected, allowing copying, distribution, remixing, and modification for any non-commercial purpose, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors and the journal.

  4. No Conflict with Journal Rights:

    • Archived materials may not be used in a way that violates the journal's rights as the publisher or diminishes the value of the officially published version on the journal's website.

  5. Transparency:

    • When archiving any version, the author must clearly state the version's status (pre-print, accepted, published) and the archiving date.
