Damascus is one of the oldest capitals in the world that is still inhabited to this day, and which preserves its heritage in most of its neighborhoods and markets, Therefore, it is one of the most commercially active Islamic cities, where markets, industries, crafts, and so on flourished, perhaps, the most prominent of these markets is the Asrooniya Market, which is attributed to the construction of the Asrooniya School in it and its clear impact on its formation, prosperity and activity,  it still witnesses commercial activity to this day, and is considered one of the heritage buildings in the city of Damascus,  therefore, it must be preserved and its history must be documented through historical sources and references, and the events that took place in it, to this day.
